If clowns made dub, this is what it would sound like

Major Lazer - Pon De Floor (ft. VYBZ Kartel)



By some peoples tastes, this song is probably in the running for most irritating song ever, but personally, it blows me a way. In both the "wow, I have to find the 12 inch of this and play it non stop!!" and "wow, someone change the station before I bash out my own brains" senses of the phrase.

I heard this last week at a party and it was the best of a bunch of really annoying tracks featuring giant swooping square wave synth lines.

This has a certain club inevitability that's irresistable the first few times you hear it. It's clownish for sure. I think it kinda rips off DJ Mustafa "Township Funk" though, which is just as simple and a bit less annoying.
